Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, a time to reflect on who we are as humans. Being a part of creation means that we are mortal, not eternal, and unfortunately we will eventually die. However, there is one who is eternal, and He has offered us a way past our mortal faults. And therein lies the meaning of Lent.
